Bibb County Defeats Monroe County in Boundary Dispute

In the latest round of back-and-forth between two counties in Georgia, the State Supreme Court ruled in favor of Bibb County over Monroe County. The dispute has reportedly been going on since the 1940s, but it seems it might finally be coming to a conclusion. Or not.

The Georgia Supreme Court ruling overturns a previous ruling made by the Fulton County Court. They claim that the Fulton Courthad made an erroneous decision by not allowing Secretary of State Brian Kemp from holding a new hearing to consider new evidence regarding the boundary location.Chief Justice Hugh Thompson announced in writing that the Fulton County Court decision had been overturned due to the error.
